Human Rights and Education for Active Citizenship.
This paper explores the interdependence between human rights and education for active citizenship, highlighting the role of both concepts in promoting a democratic and inclusive society. Education for active citizenship provides individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand their rights and responsibilities and to actively participate in community life. The study analyzes the history of human rights, the international and national documents regulating these rights, as well as the role of institutions and organizations in their protection. Additionally, the paper discusses the implementation of education for active citizenship in Romania and its positive impact on youth and communities. In conclusion, recommendations are proposed to improve education for active citizenship, emphasizing the importance of integrating it with human rights education.
