We would like to mention that the Jurnalul Libertății de Conștiință (Journal for Freedom of Conscience) is published annually (in several volumes) and includes studies (articles) in the field of human rights, but is open to any other contribution that implies a reference to the field of human rights and in particular freedom of conscience and religion, contributions that may come from the fields of philosophy, theology, history, sociology, economics, political science, literature or the arts.

The journal usually publishes scientific papers presented at the International Scientific Conferences on human rights, freedom of conscience and religion, held in the Romanian Parliament, conferences organized by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Romania and the Association Conscience and Freedom, in partnership with the Department of Religious Freedom of the EUD (Switzerland) and the General Conference (USA). The International Scientific Conferences are organized by the Association Conscience and Freedom in collaboration with the Legal, Discipline and Immunities Commission & the Education Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, the Foreign Policy Commission of the Senate of the Romanian Parliament, together with the State Secretariat for Religious Affairs; in academic partnership with the Romanian Academy of Legal Sciences; Polytechnic University of Bucharest;  Romanian Academy/INCE/CEMONT; International Religious Liberty Association - United States of America; Association Internationale pour la Défense de la Liberté Religieuse (AIDLR) - Bern, Switzerland;  Institute for Peace Studies in Eastern Christianity (Harvard Divinity School) - United States of America; Università degli Studi di Napoli „Federico II”, Dipartimento di Giurisprudenza – Italy;  The “Bogdan Petriceicu Hașdeu” Institute of Romanian Philology, „Ion Creangă” State Pedagogical University of Chișinău – Republic of Moldova; “Constantin Angelescu” Institute for Advanced Interdisciplinary Research of Academy of Romanian Scientists; State University “Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu” from Cahul – Republic of Moldova; “Adventus” University of Cernica, alongside other universities.

The papers presented at the conference focus on the importance of freedom of conscience and religion in contemporary society, highlighting the current human rights context. In an increasingly meaningless and directionless world, where terrorism and disasters have become routine, social security, together with human rights and especially freedom of conscience and religion, have become a primary theme at the top of the scientific agenda.

The founder of the Journal for Freedom of Conscience is Dr. Nelu Burcea.
