Education and the Right to Development in a Globalized World.
The study examines the central role of education in realizing the right to development in a globalized context, defined by cultural diversity, economic inequalities, and social challenges. Beginning with the recognition of the right to development as a fundamental human right, relevant international documents are analyzed, such as the Declaration on the Right to Development and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which emphasize the need for equitable access to quality education. The analysis explores the impact of globalization on education, highlighting both the opportunities created by academic mobility and knowledge exchange, as well as the risks of exacerbating inequalities in access to educational resources. The importance of education in fostering global citizenship is also underscored, contributing to the development of skills necessary in an interconnected society, with a focus on inclusion and cultural diversity as fundamental dimensions of an equitable educational system. Finally, major challenges that hinder the realization of the right to development through education are examined, including economic disparities and barriers created by discrimination.
