Abstract

Religious freedom is God’s gift for people. If people want to enjoy it, they should understand the environments correctly, and comprehend the cultural and religious shift that took place in the 21st century. The hard lessons from September 11, 2001 should help us, the Europeans, learn about the dramatic change the world is facing today, and take action. However, the fact that all human beings are made in God’s image (Imago Dei), brings into our attention the sanctity of life. Because Jesus is God incarnate and Lord of the universe, then it is absolutely normal for us to accept that He is the Only Lord and Savior of the whole world! Our duty, as followers of Christ and priests of God, is to share the good news, the Gospel, to all people around us, through our words and our deeds. This will bring true religious freedom and everlasting social security.
