Traditions, a way of promoting tolerance and peace to students in the Preparatory Year.
The present study aims to show that by addressing the topic of Romanian traditions and customs within the Romanian Culture and Civilization course, tolerance and peace are promoted among students in the Preparatory Year. The Arad area, throughout history, has been an environment of tolerance and good understanding between different ethnic groups (Germans, Hungarians, Jews, Serbs, Bulgarians, Slovaks, etc.). Addressing Romanian traditions is also a good opportunity to get students to talk about the traditions specific to their country of origin, if they find similarities and differences between them, if they are eager to learn more about Romanian traditions.
