Education, Peace and Social Rights: Fundamental Values that must be Defended Together.
Education, social rights, and peace is a learning process that aims to create active and aware citizens by promoting respect for human rights, solidarity, and nonviolence. Social rights are the foundation of a fair and inclusive society, as they ensure that every person is treated fairly, given equal opportunities, and protected from discrimination. The transformations brought about by the industrial revolution not only led to development and economic growth but also highlighted the weaknesses of the traditional state of that era: the living conditions of workers and the poorest sections of society worsened considerably, giving rise to the so-called social question. The article allows us to identify those institutional elements that reflect continuity with the welfare state model, such as the right to health and education. They are considered essential for a just society, but their full realization depends on the interpretation and allocation of public resources, unlike civil rights, which are considered universal and are not subject to financial restrictions.
