Religion as a source of peace in a world of violence.
Religion is considered in the Western world as a cause of violence. The wars of the last century, but also in recent years, support this idea. To these we can add Muslim terrorism, but also the violence of radical religious groups. Religious institutional structures have been involved in supporting political structures. Politics has used religion for its own interests. In turn, religion has used politics as a support for its mission. Religion has been a cause of violence, but also a supporter of social harmony. Our study presents religion as a factor of balance in society by fulfilling its mission of promoting peace and compassion.
