Combating Anti-Semitism through Education and Christian Values.
The subject of this essay is a variety of anti-Semitism that I like to call „epistemological anti-Semitism.” Epistemological anti-Semitism harms, disadvantages, and marginalizes Jews in their position as intellectuals: as storytellers, communicators, commentators, and providers of knowledge. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was written as part of a response to the horrific anti-Semitism that led to the extermination of millions of Jews during World War II. There is a vast literature on anti-Semitism and its history. Anti-Semitism has taken many forms throughout history. These guidelines provide suggestions for teachers and other educators who feel the need to address issues related to contemporary anti-Semitism.
