TRANSMITEREA VALORILOR CREȘTINE PRIN INTERMEDIUL EDUCAȚIEI ÎN CONTEXTUL PLURALISMULUI RELIGIOS

Transmission of christian values through education in the context of religious pluralism.
While religious pluralism may initially appear innocuous and commendable, it has ultimately resulted in the phenomenon of relativism, which entails the rejection of absolute truths pertaining to God, salvation, and eternal life. The fundamental premise of religious pluralism—that all religions are equally valid and ultimately lead to the same God—is incompatible with the teachings of Holy Scripture. The Bible unequivocally affirms the existence of one true God and the singularity of the path to Him, namely through Christ. The apostles were subjected to persecution and even killed as a result of their exclusivist teachings. Christians uphold the value of freedom of religion, conscience, and expression. However, they also adhere to the exclusivist teachings of the Bible, which asserts that “There is one God and one Mediator between God and man: The Man Jesus Christ” (1 Timothy 2:5). Western academia has come to accept religious pluralism as an ideology, yet it simultaneously exhibits a profound antipathy towards Christianity, which is either marginalized or persecuted outright in academic settings. In this context, the solution is to develop a Christian educational environment that promotes fundamental Christian values, including God, the Bible, the Church, the family, integrity, the right to life and the sanctity of life, freedom of thought, conscience and religion, human dignity, and so forth. In this article, we propose a model for transmitting these values through education, which we have called the “intelligent design model for transmitting Christian values through education.”
