Foundations of value education from a Christian perspective.
I wrote this study, being concerned about the state of education, which unfortunately is marked by regression. The expression „Educated Romania” did not achieve its goal, being only an electoral slogan. Therefore, some foundations are needed to achieve an authentic education, through which our young people are not only informed, but also trained for life. For a valuable education, we need vocational educators and not employees in the education system. The teacher’s vocation is a call to know and then to give this knowledge, forming characters, and this cannot be done by anyone. It is a quasi-sacerdotal act in which knowledge accumulates in the mind and soul of the teacher, who then imparts it to his students through dedication. In this sense, we see an education based on the foundations and terms that faith uses from the beginning: knowledge, love, dedication.
