Digitization of Education: Evolution or Regress?
The main goal of the Romanian educational system seems to be the digitization. According to neuroscientists, computers have some extremly negative effects over the neuronal development of the kids. Because their main role is to make our work easier, to complete difficult tasks instead of us, our brain is not forced to think, which means that the nerv cells are not able to regenerate. Instead of consistently trying to implement digitization in schools, we should first analyse the needs of the students, the learning contexts, their motivation and to invest in teachers’ preparation because good teachers are more valuable than smart computers.
