Women’s Rights in the Context of Global Crises.
When one talks about women’s rights one talks about basic human rights established by the United Nations, rights that include the right to live free from violence, slavery and discrimination; the right to education; to own property; right to vote; the right to earn a fair salary and equal to that of colleagues in the same professional position. Women are at the center of the consequences of global crises: from the crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic to the crisis of the war in Ukraine, to the devastating effects of climate change, to the food and energy crisis. This paper aims to present different perspectives on the impact of these global crises on women’s rights.
