Restoring human freedom and dignity by improving living conditions
Human dignity is dramatically affected by the limitation of freedom; authentic freedom cannot exist when human beings do not have economic conditions enabling self-development, in order to reach their full potential. The present paper presents the challenges the world faces in tackling inequalities in development, the actions, and results of the actions undertaken by relevant international institutions, as well as the need for a different approach in solving these issues. The examples offered in the paper could be regarded as an alternative solution to the international organizations’ activities or as a starting point to identify other possible solutions. The most important aspect is that personal involvement, even with limited resources, can, and has, a significant impact on the life of our communities.
