Dimensions of Mental Health in Romanian Education: A Theoretical and Applicative Perspective on Students and Teachers.
The mental health crisis in Romanian education is an ignored reality, with serious consequences for both students and teachers. This article explores the multiple facets of this crisis, from the lack of specialized resources in schools to the systemic pressures that generate stress, burnout, and demotivation. Starting from a well-defined theoretical framework, the analysis focuses on the current situation in Romania, highlighting official data and relevant studies that outline the extent of the problem. Intervention models implemented in other European and Canadian education systems are presented, and a series of measures adapted to the Romanian context are proposed. The central objective of the paper is to contribute to the development of a coherent and inclusive educational policy that places mental health at the center of the educational process. The article is supported by scientifically validated data, graphs, and footnotes, providing a valuable framework for researchers, policymakers, and education practitioners.
