Abstract

Freedom of Conscience and Sustainable Peace: The Integration of Death Anxiety into the Narrative of Hope.
This article argues that freedom of conscience is the foundation of human dignity and the premise of lasting peace, as it transforms the fear of death from an instrument of manipulation into a resource of meaning and civic  responsibility. The integration of psychology, existential philosophy, and theology shows that the assumption of finitude is the condition of authenticity, and martyrdom becomes the supreme expression of this freedom: a public pedagogy of dignity and a reference point for human rights. Biographical narrative integrates death anxiety into a redemptive framework, with formative effects for civic and spiritual education. The conclusion affirms that only the person free in conscience can build peace, and the memory of martyrs remains a transgenerational model.
