Erich Fromm and the Paradox of Freedom.
The article analyzes Erich Fromm’s vision of the paradox of freedom, exploring the transition of freedom through its various axiological and praxeological stages, as well as its psychological implications for modern man. The study examines the mechanisms of escape by observing the connections between inefficient forms of freedom—authoritarianism, conformism, and destructiveness — as reactions to the anxiety of isolation. It highlights the role of authentic consciousness and productive love in overcoming alienation and cultivating an ethical and creative life. Furthermore, it emphasizes the importance of education and empathy as the foundations of human dignity and lasting peace.
