Freedom of conscience: the foundation of education and sustainable peace in Corneliu Constantineanu’s vision.
When we talk about freedom of conscience as a foundation for education and lasting peace, it is necessary to address some aspects that Corneliu Constantineanu touched on to a certain extent in his research, and therefore these can be beneficial for the development of society to certain standards of well-being through the involvement of the entire community. That is why in my research I started from several notions about freedom that I identified in Benjamin Constant, G. W. F. Hegel and John Stuart Mill. All of this will help me understand Constatineanu’s way of thinking regarding the problem of man perceiving education and relating in society through the actions that he can manifest of love, truth, justice and reconciliation. Following the research, we identified two priorities for Corneliu Constantineanu: firstly, the importance of academic education that forms people of character with a strong faith in God but also with a passion for the world and people. Secondly, the peace that arises from reconciliation, along with harmony, solidarity, love, appreciation and respect for one’s fellow human beings, through the achievement of the common good, having a well-determined goal of the well-being of the community and, implicitly, of society.
