Foundations of Religious Freedom that Guarantee Peaceful Coexistence Among People.
Religious freedom represents an essential element of coexistence in a pluralistic and democratic society. Without it, society would become a space where everything is imposed through force and violence. The article explores the foundations of this freedom in human relationships, starting from human dignity and the right to freedom of conscience. It also analyzes the role of interreligious dialogue, mutual respect, the distinction between conviction and coercion, as well as the contribution of pluralism and historical memory to the consolidation of this right. The importance of state neutrality, education for diversity, and the recognition of freedom as an expression of the human relationship with the transcendent is emphasized. The approach is interdisciplinary, combining philosophical, sociological, psychological, theological, and legal arguments in order to outline a coherent framework for understanding and defending religious freedom as a foundation of social peace.
