Abstract

A Brief Introduction to the Definition of the Concept of Consciousness In New Testament Theology.
The intention of this paper is to provide a brief introduction to the definition of conscience in the New Testament. Thus, starting from the identification of important texts for this theme, both from the Pauline and non-Pauline epistles, the paper will note the interpretation of several specialists in New Testament theology, who have commented on this theme of conscience in the New Testament. Starting from the understanding that the concept of conscience in the New Testament, syneidēsis, is used both at a personal and at a relational level, the exploration of the meaning of the concept continues with the various dimensions of the concept, in relation to God, to the self and to the neighbor.
